Originality Verification

Plagiarism & Originality Policy

Zero-tolerance standard for uncredited copying, verbatim duplication, and intellectual property violations.

1. Automated Screening & Thresholds

Every manuscript submitted to AJETAS is subject to automated originality screening during the initial editorial check prior to peer reviewer dispatch.

Overall Similarity Index (Excluding Bibliography):Target < 15%
Maximum Single-Source Match:Target < 3%

Manuscripts exhibiting similarity index scores exceeding 20% or containing uncredited blocks of text are immediately rejected or returned to authors for rectification before review.

2. Self-Plagiarism and Text Recycling

Authors may not republish substantial portions of their own previously published research without explicit citation and justification. Salami slicing (partitioning a single comprehensive study into multiple minimal publishable units) is strictly discouraged.

3. Actions on Confirmed Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected post-publication, the journal initiates an investigation following COPE guidelines. If verified, the article will be formally retracted with a public Retraction Notice, and the authors institutional dean or department head will be notified.
