Abstract

An overview of space-weather events and their effects on the Sun-Earth system is provided in this paper, with a focus on the physical processes taking place in the solar interior and atmosphere.Sunspot formation and development, solar flares, coronal activity, and other solar activities linked to the solar magnetic field are all included in the research. The 11-year solar activity cycle, which includes the development of Solar Cycles 24 and 25, receives special emphasis. The solar wind, the interplanetary magnetic field, and the environment of energetic particles that reach Earth are all affected by variations in solar activity. The magnetosphere, ionosphere, thermosphere, satellite systems, radio communication, navigation, and electrical infrastructure can all be greatly impacted by these disruptions. The review therefore highlights the importance of understanding solar activity and its propagation from the Sun to Earth for monitoring and predicting space-weather effects.
